Leader of Russian gay movement has sued to Ludmila Alekseeva

On Thursday, 21 October, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg upheld the complaint Alekseeva, invalidated a ban on gay parades in Moscow. The court awarded the plaintiffs 17 thousand euros as compensation for legal costs and 12,000 euros in moral damages. The verdict of the European Court of Justice may enter into force three months later. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice intends to appeal the decision, but according to the chief of staff authorized in the European Court of Andrei Fedorov, a process likely to win in Russia a little bit.
