Standard & Poor’s 500 Index futures expiring in September rose 0.1 percent to 1,078.20.
Agilent Technologies Inc. (A US) added 2.6 percent to $27.87. The world’s biggest maker of scientific-testing equipment boosted its full-year forecast after third-quarter earnings exceeded analysts’ estimates.
Fiserv Inc. (FISV US) climbed 2.1 percent to $51.11. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (BRK/A US) took a 2.9 percent stake in the provider of electronic commerce services and owned 4.4 million shares on June 30, according to a regulatory filing.
 MannKind Corp. (MNKD US) dropped 8.5 percent to $6.24. The company founded by billionaire inventor Alfred Mann said it plans to sell as much as 8 million shares and $100 million of convertible notes.
Rino International Corp. (RINO US) gained 2.7 percent to $15.28. The provider of water treatment systems for steelmakers posted second-quarter earnings excluding some items of 54 cents a share, beating the average analyst estimate by 35 percent, according to Bloomberg data.
Urban Outfitters Inc. (URBN US) advanced 3.6 percent to $32.50. The clothing and housewares retailer reported second- quarter profit of 42 cents a share, topping the 39-cent average estimate from analysts in a Bloomberg survey.
