ADP, Belvedere, France Telecom, Gorge, Idsud, Total: French Equity Preview

The following is a list of companies whose stocks may have unusual price changes in Paris. Symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.


France’s CAC 40 Index fell 10.16, or 0.3 percent, to 3,610.91. The SBF 120 Index lost 0.2 percent.

Aeroports de Paris (ADP FP): The Paris airports operator is scheduled to report traffic for July after the market closes. The shares rose 0.5 percent to 54.79 euros.

Belvedere SA (BVD FP): The French vodka maker said revenue fell to 292.7 million euros ($375 million) from 302.6 million euros a year earlier. The shares rose 2.5 percent to 27.74 euros.

France Telecom SA (FTE FP): France’s biggest telephone operator and Iliad SA have in recent weeks dropped lawsuits that they had started against each other, La Tribune reported, without citing anyone. France Telecom advanced 1.2 percent to 16.50 euros. Iliad (ILD FP), the company setting up France’s fourth mobile-phone network, gained 0.5 percent to 66.42 euros.

Groupe Gorge (GOE FP): The maker of submarine robotics and composite parts for cars and airplanes said second-quarter revenue slid to 53.5 million euros from 56.8 million euros a year earlier. The shares rose 0.3 percent to 6.47 euros.

Idsud (ALIDS FP): The securities broker is scheduled to report second-quarter revenue after the market closes. The shares were unchanged at 29.09 euros.

Sanofi-Aventis SA (SAN FP): France’s largest drug company has been told by a court in Nanterre that it must restart the procedure under which it aims to cut jobs in France, Les Echos reported, without citing anyone. The court decided that Sanofi has not been specific enough about which jobs it wants to cut, according to the newspaper.

Separately, Koor Industries Ltd., a company controlled by billionaire Nochi Dankner, bought about $100 million of Sanofi shares, Calcalist reported, without saying how it got the information. The shares dropped 1.2 percent to 44.76 euros.

Societe des Bains de Mer et du Cercle des Etrangers a Monaco (BAIN FP): The operator of the Monte Carlo casino said revenue for the first quarter declined to 95.7 million euros from 104.6 million euros a year earlier. The shares rose 1 percent to 50 euros.

Total SA (FP FP): France’s largest oil company said a wet gas compressor tripped offline at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery. The incident resulted in the burning of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere through a flare stack, the company said in a filing. The shares slid 0.1 percent to 39.03 euros.
