Fitch Ratings has assigned a 'BBB-' rating to NiSource Finance Corp.'s proposed issuance of $400 million notes due 2041. Note proceeds will be used to repay short-term borrowings. NiSource Finance is a wholly-owned special purpose finance subsidiary of NiSource Inc. .
